Who We Are
Hi, I’m Julie, the heart behind Earth & Light Botanicals.
I’ve always had a deep passion for natural healing, and during 2020 I began studying herbalism while experimenting with creating my own products. I was searching for skincare that was truly pure, free from hidden nasties, fillers, or synthetic shortcuts, and when I couldn’t find it, I decided to make it myself.
That’s how Earth & Light Botanicals was born. The name reflects what my products stand for: grounded in the earth, yet bringing lightness and nourishment to the skin.
It started simple, making small batches for myself and loved ones. Before long, friends began asking to buy them, and my passion naturally grew into a brand.
Every product I make is rooted in quality, care, and honesty. I work only with organic, natural, and locally sourced ingredients, nothing else. My tallow comes from a Demeter-certified biodynamic farm in Canberra where cattle are 100% grass-fed, and my Kakadu Plum oil is a native Australian treasure. Everything is handmade in small batches here in Australia with respect for nature, tradition, and your skin. For me, this is more than skincare. It’s a way of returning to simplicity, reconnecting with the wisdom of nature, and finding joy in pure, slow beauty.
